Come for brunch, and reserve your table for dinner. It's that good. Get the clam dip any time of day. Andrew Knowlton's BA review was spot on. No detail was missed, the space is impeccably designed.
Two top by the bar gets you a view of the sunset, a peek at all the weirdness in the decor, coziness of a private table, and shelter from the elements. You'll want to take your time with dinner here.
The new brunch menu hits it hard with winners like the wood-oven fired Montreal-style bagel with salmon gravlax and labneh and the bloody mary with savory dillaquavit. Save room for bread pudding.
This is one of those hidden gems that is worth the effort to get into. Beautiful views and amazing food. One of the best oyster bars in town with a cocktail list to match.
The Avocado Toast was amazing - crisp and fresh, but still hearty. We also got the Dutch Baby to split between three people, which was a perfect sample if you’re not a big sweets-for-breakfast person.
Mediterranean-inspired food like halibutcrudo and wood-baked gigante beans in a whimsical, beautiful dining room that was nominated for a 2014 James Beard for restaurant design. [Eater 38 Member] Mehr erfahren
Seating in the atrium is nice and quieter with a beautiful view. The oyster selection was amazing and they had a special caviarappetizer that was delicious as well! Great for date nights!
The service here is excellent, as is the food. I ordered the cauliflower soup and Spanish sardines, and got these donut things for desert....called "takamattes" or something like that
There were no tables available when we went, so my wife and I sat at the oyster bar. Turned out to be the best seats in the house. The oysterchef kept us entertained the entire time!
Sit at the oyster bar and order all the things. We went with four or five appetizers and smaller plates, plus a dozen oysters. Glutinous maybe, delicious yes.
Interior design is a plus. Menu is meh. Cold, impersonal, inattentive management and service a BIG minus. Spoiled our anniversary date. Won't be back. Leave it to the tragically hipbrunch crowd.
