Catch a shared van or tuk2 at 40k or 50k kip from town and journey takes 1 hour. Departure time is 1130am and spend about 4 hour at waterfalls. Climb up for secret pool and go for a dip. Nice view too
The sun bears are so fluffy and lazy! I have never seen such huge bears and they are cute as well. You can support the centre by buying their merchandises. Free entrance before the waterfalls.

Very laid back and time passes very slowly when in Luang Prabang. Lots to see and eat. Beer lao is so good.
Rice noodles with pork and egg at only 14K kip. Cheaper than night market and it is good! Lots of fried garlic on top as well. Go early as it opens from 7am already.
Look for the beautifully painted little temples with Lao life (red walls) in the temple. Good for photography.

Shorter climb from night market side than Namkhan river side. Climb before 5pm. Park your bicyle at the post office for 2K kip (don't pay more than that) n it will be guarded til after sunset. Lock it

Fastest way to get to KL Sentral and the 2 KLIA airports but at RM55 each way, not affordable at all. But, if you have time, change at Putrajaya stop and hop back on again. Only RM9 x2.
A lot of things to do and it has a lot of farms to visit. So much food to try as well besides laksa such as Pak Ku roti canai, satay at night market on Fridays. Kim Kim's restaurant for chu char.
For Chinese breakfast, try the food stalls facing the market, more choices. Kit Lo's Char koay teow is good. There are Malay food stalls too. Yet to try.
Good for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Try the enchikibin (Indonesian fried chicken), and chicken chop.
A very nice fishing village. Educational too if you go for boat trips during the day to see eagles and visit floating fish farms. Night time, go for fireflies watch. Really mesmerising..
