Cracking views across Lancashire. The main mast structure is 309.48 metres (1,015.4 ft) tall and has a diameter of 2.75 metres (9.0 ft). Without this you wouldn't have been able to watch Corrie
Great views from the top. The flimsy metal steps over the void on the last stretch up will get your arsehole twitching. Even Ross Kemp struggled on this one.
Decent town. Good shopping at The Rock, visit Bury Market. Pubs can get a bit rough but better than it was in the 80's
Simply stunning. In 1695, when the city was bombarded by Marshal de Villeroy, the Town Hall was destroyed by fire. Its reception rooms and aldermen's offices contain fine tapestries.
Could spend all day stood here - simply one of the best sites in Europe. U can manage to sneak into City Hall if ur lucky. Cafes are more expensive here but with good reason
Fun way to kill a few hours after the atonium. Expensive entrance fees but some good comedy photo opportunities and the models are very impressive
Built for the 1958 World Exhibition, the Atomium is shaped on the model of an elementary iron crystal enlarged 165 billion times. Have a beer at the restaurant in the top sphere
Fantastic church - well worth a visit. Pay entry fee to the museums but more importantly for rooftop access and great city views. The wooden stairs in the bell tower are a bit scary!
Nice neighbourhood for a walk - market on some weekends. There's a huge Basilica at the end of the main road - the worlds 5th largest church!

Only ever been here for conferences or evening events. Excellent service on each occasion. Good venue in pleasant grounds with ample parking space. Good buffet spread with hot n cold options
Good tea room and lunch offerings. Interesting historical venue with a reasonable entry fee. DON'T go on Saturdays as its closed to the general public
Unremarkable Italian fare - my least favourite of the family group of restaurants. Poor service on occassions, but worth popping in for the 2 course lunchtime deal under a tenner
Always ask for extra cheese as they're a bit stingy. Some good value menu meal deals on offer - sign up to their text service too for more deals. New Yorker is quality as is the Meatilicious.
Decent hospital. A&E rammed at weekend. Try waiting til Monday am if you can. Good restaurant food and magazine shop. Excellent staff - all very helpful and thorough
Cheap booze. Not a bad venue. Sometimes there's a decent live gig on but crowds can be sparse. Decent student nights on a sticky floor :0)
Expensive but very good ribeye steak. Service was ok - very nice inside and good views out. Ask for a booth. No idea why everything comes with half a lettuce - waste of time!
Traditional/old fashioned home decor and furnishings shop - can find the occasional bargain. Gets way too busy at weekends and no chance of getting a parking space outside the shop
Cracking pub with a fantastic selection of music on the jukebox. Great place to spend the night with a large group of mates
