Very cool, I had a great time learning about all the different types of cows, the exibit is free as well and the cheese tasting, really good fresh creamy ice cream and well priced fresh cheese curds.
Quite the attraction! They can get up to 35,000 people a day! Cheesy self guided tour of the cheese making process ending with free samples and a cafe with grilled cheeses and ice cream. Great stop!
The Tillamook cheese factory has a very quaint cafe serving you grilled cheese, wonderful burgers, deep fried cheese curds, and a nice variety of other things. Reasonably priced, a must stop!
Buy cheese you will regret it if you don’t, the ice creamline is huge and the grilled cheese delicious. The factory is under construction until summer 2018 so right now is not very exciting visit
Another requisite stop on your trip to the Oregon Coast. The new visitor center has a lot of interpretive signage, and there is a separate line for ice creamcones. Pick up a bag of squeaky cheese.
Great renovation of the building! If you're there for ice cream, skip the long lines indoors and go to the outside line. Go upstairs for educational billboards & windows to look down on the creamery.
The scoop shop has several “flights” available if you can’t decide! The summer flight (peaches & cream, Oregon dark cherry and marionberry pie) will make your mouth feel like summer!
Really nice to see how cheese is made and I love the free samples and selections of cheese in the store, but I have to say—I sort of feel bad for the workers.
Neat free tour and free samples, but you can get the cheese cheaper at your local grocery store. The Mac and Cheese tastes like the same Mac and cheese from The Old CountryBuffet.
I like the overall upgrades to the place. I think they need a better line traffic set up for food and ice cream. The outside eating area is nice. I feel like they have way fewer types of ice cream.
Head down the road towards BayCity about three miles to the Tillamook country smoker for fantastic beef stick, jerky and 2 ft long pepperoni. Cheaper than the cheesefactory by nearly half!!!
Apparently they're renovating the visitor center because other than the self-guided tour, there's nothing else to see. Don't eat lunch here. Service is slow and grilled cheese sandwich is rubbery.
