- Marie RicherDezember 12, 2016The service and the vibe of the room is cozy and great. The empanadas were nice especially the plantain and oxtail one, but mains were lacklustre and disappointing. Still a great neighbourhood spot.
- P ZMärz 16, 2022Everything that comes off their open-flame grill is charred to perfection. That octopus! If you want a fried treat, the chicharrones are excellent - just make sure you request bones in the chicken 🐔
- DominicanAbroad.comJuni 30, 2015As a Dominican, I can fully attest that this place is the bomb diggidity damn. Wow! Sangria, tostones rellenos (and I don't even like beef), sancocho, everything wow! Live music weekly.
- The sangria and empanadas are so good. The main dishes are also great and the tres leches is a great way to end the meal! Everyone is so friendly. Great date spot.
- EaterJanuar 9, 2018Puerto Viejo is a Dominican bistro that has the expected Dominican dishes like sancocho with pieces of chicken and pork and tender roasted pernil. The homemade habanero hot sauce is a must. Mehr erfahren

- Raphael LangenscheidtOktober 14, 2015Pastellon is incredible. Chicharrones de pollo are great little deep fried bits of delicious. And definitely have some plantain chips to start. This place is fantastic.
- The menu is varied so that you can either get a hearty main or share a bunch of sides appetizers. Volume is loud enough to focus you on your dinner partner without being deafening. Service is friendly
- How can you go wrong with empanadas and plantain chips? Add some sangria and you've got the best cozy-casual night in the neighborhood.
- Gabriel HayesSeptember 30, 2015Really enjoyed the Chicharrones de Cerdo. Tender chunks of fried pork served with delicious boiled yuca and pickled red onions.
- AlexApril 29, 2016delicious mofongo and great empanadas and sangria. happy hour deals are incredible. very homey vibe.
- Rebecca ChadwickMai 14, 2015Seriously the best empanadas anywhere. The cheese one is so good that I want to have it for breakfast with eggs on the side. One minus is that it's cash only.
- Barrie SegalAugust 6, 2014they *are* open on sundays for brunch, with a special dominican brunch menu. i think it's just for the summer. whatever that pulled pork eggs benedict thing is on the menu, get it.

- Clemente CuevasMärz 29, 2015Vegetarian here: Not a lot of veggie options, but the ones available are very good! Veggie mofongo, some veggie empanadas, and some sides are really good. Very Dominican tasting drinks.
- Erika PerziApril 27, 2018Completely obsessed with their oatmeal juice and Tres Los Golpes for breakfast. Hot sauce is housemade and you can purchase for home. Love!

- Jake SimmsJuni 15, 2013Order a pitcher of red sangria and feast on empanadas. Go with at least one white cheese. Prove you are a man by a generous portion of their hot sauce. Prooooove it!
- Gabriel HayesSeptember 30, 2015The best entree is the Pastelón de Carne. Mashed sweet plantains layered with beef and cheese.
- If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar when the wonderful woman who tends is there, you have won the game. This place is amazing.
- New favorite place. Super yummy food (I thought it might be very oily but it turned out to be not greasy at all) and really fun place to go out!
- Jarel HillMärz 13, 2018That happy hour is insane! 1.50 for beef, cheese and chicken. Beef and chicken were best. Spicy pork was great too.

- ChristianNovember 15, 2012Pro tip: Since it's a Dominican restaurant, don't order the Cuban Sandwich or the friendly servers will judge you. The burger's great (and not Cuban).
