I cannot say enough good things about Poilâne. Not a ton of pastries in the Cherche-Midi shop but what they serve, they do v well. Tartes aux pommes had me salivating after every bite. GO!
Amazing sourdough that you can purchase by weight in slices. Still delicious after freezing. Didn't have a good experience with the pain au chocolat, found it way too dense
Best croissants. No competition. No seating here for retail (though there is a sit down restaurant) so get your pain au chocolat and take it to a nearby park.
Head over to Poilane for one of the city’s (and the world’s) most famous pain au chocolat. While you’re there, grab some bread, a raisinbun, and basically whatever else you can get your hands on.
