We have a family tradition: the day after Thanksgiving we have lunch at Old Ebbitt Grill. We love the history of the place, and the significance of the location. Plus: the food is pretty great!
Hands down, my favorite place in town. Love their food and the oyster happy hours. Book in advance for the evening! Big parties are welcome there, but it's not a perfect choice for those, we tried.

Worth the wait if you choose to wait at one of the bars.- Known for the best raw bar and its half price M-Th 3-6. Check weekend times. The cheese plate is fantastic. 4 cheeses brie to blue, a strawberry jam that incredible. Too bad don't bottle I asked.
