The Airport Shuttle is totally the way to get to your hotel from the airport. One way ticket is $20, RT $30. Cabs are approx $34 o/w. Buy ticket online or at kiosk by baggage claim

Small airport but very friendly staff. You won't find free WiFi at any other airports, either. $33 cab ride from the French Quarter. NOLA!

Terminal D is really nice and Wow Cafe has a great veggie burger. So stupid they're wasting tax payer money to build a new airport.

NOLA is known for its great food, music, culture, etc. The airport doesn't give you that great impression of what the city has to offer.

Wi-fi is definitely better than any new york airport! Love the laid back atmosphere, it's helping me recover from my hangover.

Plan to wait about 30 minutes at security if you have a morning flight, unless you are fortunate to have a priority or tsa pre-check. Add 10-15 for printing boarding passes and dropping off luggage.

New airport doesn’t have any restaurants prior to entering the gate. If you planned on arriving early and sitting down bring a snack. The gate area doesn’t have much seating, or charge stations.

Please don't use those bathrooms. It doesn't seem to be cleaned very often. And there are only about 3 stalls(maybe 4 stalls) In the women's bathroom. The sink is opposite side of the towel paper!

New Terminals opening - very close to Downtown. Average non commute drive 18-25 minutes. 35-40 in height of commute.

Make sure you check the departure screen right after security otherwise you're walking all the way to the end of the terminal to find out what gate you need.

wow, the people here must hate their jobs because they are absolutely miserable, esp at ticketing and security. if you don't want to deal with a lot of people, prob shouldn't work at a busy airport.

Good airport... Small, very few long lines (compared to the big hubs). Every flight I've flown coming back in arrives early. Almost no New Orleans delays here! :)

Concourse B has decent food. Lucky Dogs, Praline Express, and Live Oaks are some local options. The Magnificent Burger from Jester's was pretty good, and huge to boot.

If you are checking through TSA pre-check you don't have to remove shoes, belts, or take laptops out. Funny that so many still do despite signs .

A small airport with improvements on the way... but at the current time there are underwhelming eateries and shops, and the inside is pretty bland and borderline ugly. Needs modernization ASAP!!
