a great park & trail to start a short hike (2.5 mi RT, 550 feet elevation gain) to Griffith Observatory.
great coffee. good for a meeting (with outdoor seating). good people watching and easy to bring family too - nice to walk around the block. (street fair on weekend when i was there)
beautiful space and amazing Neapolitan-style pizzas (see if you can get a seat in the back patio with views of their pizza oven)

absolutely worth it for the 360º views – start your hike from Fern Dell for a strong finish. (if you're with others that can't do the full thing, you could also head up from Griffith Observatory)
