Chippie is very good and for coffee and a sweet treat there's Knead bakery. You will NOT go hungry! Blustery winds but still breathtakingly beautiful. Train station steps from the beach.
All of the tour guides are former political prisoners; very cool! Be sure to buy tickets well in advance online (I bought mine before I even arrived in Cape Town). Tour takes 4 hours with return.
Excellent cocktail bar "hidden" behind the Honest Chocolate shop. It's not so secret anymore (it seems to be full of tourists these days rather than in-the-know locals, but still worth a visit!).
