Matt Cermak: This right off Michigan Ave. gem has so much to offer from extravagant pastries to delicious sandwiches. Perfect spot to take a break from shopping and a must try for any foodie or coffee lover.

Kenney Marlatt: Paul McGee's tiki drinks are always a winner. Start with the boozy Pool Rules, then try the smokey Hula Hips of Heaven. Finish off with the frozen Tic Tac Taxi. You're welcome.

Serious Eats: The carne asada is extra beefy but surprisingly greaseless. It stands out as something of an instant classic, and a serious contender for best in the city.

Time Out Chicago: Try this: The pork belly tacos get the attention, but we love the queso fundido.

Karen Carpenter: The parmesan crusted calamari is so tender, needs only a squeeze of lemon. Delicioso! Try the charred carrots w goat cheese, marconas, and aged balsamic.

HISTORY: Completed in 1897 it was dedicated as the city's original Chicago Public Library. This monument was inspired by the neo-classical style of the World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in 1893.

David Weathersby: Beautiful archive and art venue on the south side.

Sam Bear: If Chicken and Waffles doesn't sound decadent enough to you, try the Bullseye French Toast: two slices of brioche french toast topped with sunny-side up eggs, fried chicken, and BBQ maple syrup.

Jasmine Davila: Save room for dessert (huge sundaes!), or at least a float or a milkshake. The Mexicana milkshake is especially delicious.

J L: Go if u have an hour or so to spend in the Magnificent Mile before heading to the airport. Beautiful property and they have a fully function Crapper to boot!

Chicago Park District: The Lily Pool officially opens for the season on Sat., April 21. Free docent tours are available Fridays 1 - 4pm, Saturdays 9am - noon & 1 - 4pm, Sundays 1 - 4pm; starting every hour & half hour.

Carrie Jean: We came for brunch and everything was excellent! All ingredients are top quality and delicious. Delightful atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Mike: Marinated zucchini was my favorite item. Definitely try the pici (a take on pasta carbonara) but skip the super uni shooter and bavette steak - unimpressive and overpriced. Good wine selection.
