Only place in NY you can pick up a book on the history of Cambodia, the latest hot French novel and cool travel guides to Havana in 5 minutes. Language and film/conversation classes are fantastic, too

My go to place in NYC for any travel-related literature. They've got a fantastic collection of guidebooks as well as travel writing and cultural books. And they offer language classes!

Amazing selection of travel books. Come here, daydream about where you'll go when you're done working for that start up. Lots of books for NYC natives to keep you occupied until the traveling starts

This may be my favorite bookstore of all time. It isn't large, but the selection is excellent, and I always go home with some unexpected gem.

go here if you like to travel or read. they sort the books by country for fiction and non fiction and all are translated to English. 👍

Idlewild was taken from the original name for New York International Airport, which was renamed JFK in 1963. We even have some stained glass and chairs from the original Idlewild Airport in our store!
