Great choice for an upscale meal off the beaten path, grab a signature cocktail and sip in the gardens before dinner.
Among the well-deserved accolades, add hand-battered onion rings, great outdoor seating options, and live music on the weekend. Grab a frosty mug from the Coke fridge/freezer in the main dining room.
My first visit-- food is above average to excellent, however service is a bit hit or miss. Next time I'll skip ordering the (really good) kibbe and falafel, which delayed my lunch 15 minutes.
They do what they do well-- I love their take on arugula-Parmesan-Proscuitto pizza, and I'm especially fond of the market offerings, including imported canned goods and artisan dried pastas.
The Picadillo is hands- down the best I've ever had, and these folks are so nice! Also-- EVERY salsa is delicious, here!
I can attest that the new menu items-- the smoked bacon and Brussels sprouts pizza and the mini bahn mi hotdogs-- are really fantastic, and as always, nice little house margarita on the rocks.
Live music every weekend-- grab a fresh baguette, a cup of coffee, and some fresh cheese, sit under the tents, and listen to the band.
Always the best flicks here, and surprisingly decent coffee. Ask for them to layer the butter on your popcorn, for an utter glutton-fest.
Fun family fare-- chicken not exactly hot&spicy as advertised, but likely just spicy enough for the masses. Sides were hit & miss; slaw and collards being standouts, and oh, that chocolate chess pie!
