- Cole TNovember 12, 2017Truly a sight to see. The bar area is massive, the beer is incredible and the food is solid! Outdoor patio is lined with tables and also heat lamps for the cold months. Experimental beers on tap here.
- Ryan WaggonerSeptember 12, 2017Hands down the best patio in GR. Incredible variety and selection of beer, including some only available here. Food is great too, the beer cheese dip is one of my favorites.
- DannJanuar 4, 2017Try the backwoods bastard, the ale aged in oak bourbon barrels, if they are available when you are at Founders. Great alternative to the KBS!
- Used to be my fav in GR. Now mostly barrel aged, high abv beers. The days of new, interesting Pales and IPAs seem to be gone. Only thing left for my growler is Reds. Enjoyed the years we had however.
- John HankusApril 14, 2015Amazing beer at great prices. This place is huge but is always packed. Love and stout made by founders. Their wheat beer and cherry beer is tasty too. Only 3 dollar pints on Monday nights.
- CavaFatima SatchellMärz 20, 2015The menu is wonderful, great named sandwiches,I ordered root beer and he had a dark stout,we listened to "Big Sherb", on a Thursday night, they were absolutely sublime.Grabbed a cd.Love this place!!!
- Paul CunninghamJuly 7, 2019Great brewery. Huge space. Lots of taphouse exclusive beers to try alongside the well known favorites. Good food. Nice outdoor space as well. A must visit when in GR
- Mary M MottaFebruar 27, 2015While I don't drink beer, it's fun to hang out here with my friends who do. Perfect for lunch - grab one of their many awesome sandwiches. Try the grilled cheese - choice of cheeses with cream cheese!
- Round up some friends and head on over the Founder's for some amazing craft beers. The low ABV and citrusy hops of their All Day IPA is a strong choice if you plan on drinking for a while.
- Todd StewartDezember 4, 2014Best brewery patio in Grand Rapids and is not to be missed. There are plenty of heaters and fire places to keep you warm even on the coldest days. Oh and the beer is always great.
- Thomas DuebnerSeptember 13, 2015Nick from the kitchen and Jason from the bar were extremely gracious and helpful in correcting an issue. Aside from the superior beer and excellent food, their service has also now proven 10/10.
- Sonia ViningJuni 14, 2015Don't be freaked out by the size of the place; just find a seat, walk up and order a sandwich or munchies (the cheese steak was great!), get a pint from the bar, settle in and enjoy!
- Jessy KingAugust 30, 2014amazing bar, amazing people. once you start a tab you can be anywhere in the bar and add to it. exceptional food and service. beers available here that are not sold anywhere else.
- Jake SmithJuly 23, 2013Order both pretzels and peanuts to snack on while enjoying the brews. For pretzels, try the Centennial IPA Honey Mustard. With the peanuts, use one of the two baskets are provided for your shells.
- Brent GatewoodSeptember 15, 2017I really enjoyed Founders. Great beer selection. Some, only here, beers and great staff/service. Food good as well. Get here!
- Rob KOktober 1, 2012Friendly bartenders who know their beer and a few free samples to boot. Would be great if they had just a few more on tap, but they do brew some great beers. Must have the Breakfast Stout.
- Okay folks, Founders has taken the tap room, beer garden & menu to a whole new level with their latest updates. Holy wow! Get in here and see the three (!) tap areas and everything else! Do it!
- Ashley SmitkoMai 4, 2015Bruschetta is hands down the best I've ever had!! Huge serving size, either eat as a meal or share! Great price too!!
- P DSeptember 4, 2016I felt adventurous so I tried a rasberry beer and it was a pleasantly surprising mix of fruity and hoppy! The guac was super fresh deliciousness too!
- DavidNovember 28, 2015The beer and the food is good. It's seat yourself and I've been here twice where three parties that were behind us ran ahead to get seats. It's like musical chairs.
- Matt GaiserSeptember 19, 2012Charise's Ruben, Mug Clubber, or the Blushing Monk are up at the top of my list of favorite sandwiches for sure. One of those and a pint of Solid Gold makes for a great lunch.
- Nicole RovigSeptember 2, 2017IPA All Day is a must. The backwoods bastard was good. Devil the Dancer was just fire; couldn't taste anything in the sandwich. @nicolerovig
- Scotland GourleyApril 27, 2015bartenders are so friendly and really help you sample and find a beer you like!
- Andrew ClarkAugust 13, 2013This is an amazing place. The Devil Dancer is among the best sandwiches I've ever had. Watch out, you might need some water to put the fire in your mouth out... Or lots of beer.
- MikeSeptember 14, 2015Thoroughly unimpressed with their food. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was literally lunch meat and hot sauce on bread. Their beer are mostly over-hopped takes on pale ales.
- A RJuly 21, 2015Build your own sampler option is a great way to work your way through their extensive menu. No limit to how many samples you include.
- shan smithJuly 20, 2018Obviously the beer is great, food is rather delicious (some breweries struggle w that), but service was mehhh. Bartenders and staff in Detroit are WAY more personable no matter how slow or busy it is.
- Jen CunninghamJuly 11, 2017It's Founders! What's not to love? There's a lot of space on the patio and open seating, which is nice.
- Thomas CarpenterNovember 26, 2014Great beer, food and atmosphere. If you are in MI, stop in for a flight or a pint. You owe it to yourself.
- Sonia ViningJuni 14, 2015The classics: Centennial, Porter, Dirty Bastard, Oatmeal Stout. But do yourself a favor: at least try something that's only available on tap here.
- the LalaNovember 13, 2015Founders Brewing Co. is entirely open to the outdoors. Recently renovated and totally revamped, there’s an enormous deck that pales in comparison to the amount of people standing on it. Mehr erfahren
- Chandra IyerMai 20, 2019Great beer, nice location. Did the tour of the brewery which was pretty cool.
- If ya know, then ya know. Grand Rapids staple. Beer speaks for itself. Food is solid sandwich fare. Grab a pint and relax
- Bobby KennedyJuni 7, 2015Lovely outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Their menu of sandwiches is diverse and delicious. Plus beer.
- Beth WongJuni 17, 2016Great sandwiches and beer on tap that you can't get elsewhere. Try the Nitro Rubeaus!
- Thurgood CoatsSeptember 28, 2015Awesome atmosphere! Put an order in at the front for food and then wait for a waiter at a table to get some of the greatest beer around.
- The Devil Dancer is full of spicy goodness, but not for the delicate palate. Be warned: if you're not comfortable with vindaloo strength this sandwich will eat you for breakfast! Best eaten with beer
- Chris VegaMärz 22, 2018Great food and attentive service. Only downside is the wide open seating policy.
- Dave BeckerichApril 1, 2014If you like beer, you owe it to yourself to stop. Try their Panther Cub, Ruebaus, and breakfast stout. Great beers abound here.
- Bob DeGraffNovember 4, 2022Beautiful brewery and outdoor patio. Great service. We had a couple of top-notch beer flights.
- Raymond BaileyAugust 25, 2015Really fun place. Order your food at the station up front and sit where you want. No alcohol. Just beer...but good beer!
- Stefano RelliJuni 13, 2018Beer! The sandwiches selection is good. Be patient and enjoy your beer while the food is prepared!
- PAMELA CARRNovember 26, 2018Founders Tap Room in Grand Rapids is NOT family friendly, or able to handle large groups. In a recent visit, the wait staff told us to move tables together for 11 people, but Manager kicked us out.
- John WheelerNovember 23, 2015Take the tour. No seriously, do it. The cheaper tour is a great one and the guide rocks. Free beer too.
- Jonathan BridgesMärz 7, 2013Came here for the first time alone while just passing through. Great beer. Great food. And my server Amy was awesome. Definitely recommend it.
- Chris ClarkinDezember 24, 2015The tour's excellent; the guys are all passionate and knowledgable. And the taproom is the perfect way to round it off.
- Nitesh KumarAugust 17, 2016Red Rye IPA to start with. The place is ginormous .Patio, live music, awesome food n beer.
- If it is busy in the late afternoon, don't be afraid to ask to sit with the individuals camped out at 4 and 6-top tables with their computers. We can all be friends at Founders.
