Miss K. • August 13, 2015One of my favorite Des Moines recreational places, Gray's Lake is wonderful for walks, bird watching, and boating. When my children were young, we spent a lot of time at the beach!
Jim D. • März 6, 2011A great place for some trail running. Tons of connecting points to other Des Moines routes.
Allen H. • September 1, 20132013: Crepes & Cream has a new ice cream dessert with a layered crepe. Very good and different!
Melissa D. • Mai 17, 2014Great zoo and getting better! May not be as big as Henry Doorly in Omaha, but you can enjoy several hours there. Also very kid friendly.
Hannah M. • August 8, 2012Go to the shower house that is by the big hill by the front gate, there is almost never a line.
American Heart A. • Dezember 14, 2011One lap around the park is just shy of half a mile so take a few laps and really admire all this amazing public art!
Healthiest Iowa • September 1, 2011The real attraction is the old-fashioned carousel that's still just 50 cents per ride. But once your child (or you) has had enough of that, there's a rocket ship slide and a wading pool to check out.
Lindsey S. • November 10, 2010Be sure to check out the rose garden. It's the perfect spot for a wedding. That's where ours was!
Allen H. • Oktober 5, 2013Humphrey's Concessions accepts credit cards. (Funnel cakes, corn dogs, lemonade, etc.)
Don • April 1, 2014We love coming here because it's such a short bike ride for daddy & a nice park w/ 2 play areas. 1 for lil toddlers & 1 for more advanced young ones. Also has sandbox & rope climbing triangle.
Kelly S. • April 2, 2012Great place to connect to bike trails from Oak Park and Highland Park neighborhoods.
