El Chucho has an impressive beverage menu for such a small place, complete with a variety of margaritas, spike-able sodas and a cocktail list that includes the Senor Clusterf*ck and a Blue Hawaiian.

Definitely get the guacamole and elote for appetizers and one of the sets if two tacos for the main. Skip the asada and go with the el pastor or vegetarian one.

So many good things to try here but some of the must-haves are the Asada marinated steak tacos, Pescado fish tacos, and of course the amazing corn on the cob 'street style.'

Elote (Mexican grilled corn) is a must. The calabacitas tacos (fried zucchini) are a great choice, even if you're not vegetarian. Ask for the salsa picante (hot sauce) if you need an extra kick.

This is a do not miss for Columbia Heights. The drinks are booze with booze and the food is small portions but excellent. Don't miss the Elote or the Hierba.

El Chucho's elote callejero is worth it. The grilled corn is gilded with brown-butter aioli, cilantro, chili-lime salt and pungent Parmesan-like cotija cheese. Wash it down with a $5 margarita. Mehr erfahren

Food is very good (especially the sloppy sandwich that comes with plastic gloves), homemade sodas with booze are excellent. All night Monday happy hour is a great bonus.

One of the best kept secrets in DC. Great pork tacos, the corn is ridiculous, and the bartenders make a mean cocktail. Ask for the Suffering Bastard.

The salsa here is the best I’ve tasted, excellent consistency! The pescado tacos are far better than the meat tacos. Great ambience.

Good margaritas. Tiny, tasty tacos. Fast, friendly service. Thankfully they have bug spray to use when you sit outside.

Sope de Moronga is amazing. Deep rich black flavor and a fresh green taste on top. Nice with a Pomegranate Tart Apple Margarita with Lime Chile Salt

Tried many different items and overall, the food is a bit lackluster in the flavor department. Good drinks, though. Try Mama Chuy for better Mexican street food.

Cool vibe. The Cemita is terrible. Avoid. It is soooo dry, and has no flavor. Salsa also lacking flavor. Ginger mojito not amazing either. Service, meh.
