You don’t come here for fine dining, but the service is friendly, the setting is lovely and the drinks are good. Pictured are the nachos.
I’ve eaten here twice, a year apart, and both times everything was excellent. Tonight’s spicy ramen soup was especially good.

Think of Menards as a nice Home Depot with a smaller selection of the same stuff and a bigger selection of unrelated stuff, such as junk food and vitamins. Prices are surprisingly good too.
Bloomington and IU both punch all the way above their weight in the performing arts—meaning the equal of anything anywhere, including NYC and LA—and that goes for this venue as well. Beautiful place.

A landmark comedy club: one of the best of its kind and a stopping spot for all major talent crossing the country, plus a surprisingly large collection of local and regional talent as well.
In addition to being a Bloomington institution, Uptown is the best restaurant and bar in the town's heart. The signature dishes are all good, the service friendly and attentive. Big thumbs up.
