Voted Best Jazz Club by City Pages in 2012. Whatever your music tastes may be, you are bound to come across either an old or a new favorite playing at the Dakota on any given night of the week.
I've never had oysters as phenomenal. And if you are with a group not as fond of oysters as you, the bread that comes with it dipped in the sauce is heavenly.
Great atmosphere! Great "date" spot. We could actually talk and the music was great. Only Downfall no ranch dressing 😳! The food was great - Salmon Sandwich yummy!
Voted as Best Late Night Dining by City Pages in 2010. Get in before midnight and you can have a nice little feast for less than you’d get for that old Miles Davis album.
The perfect mix of music and great food. The food enhances listening experience, and the music enhances the food. It's the perfect dance! Mehr erfahren
If you are there for the music, before they seat you, ask if your seats have an unobstructed view of the stage. Many don't and are sold at same price without warning.
Minneapolis! R&B vocalist José James plays the Dakota 12/14/11 at 7 & 9:30pm!! You won't want to miss this one! Give us a shout (@AMIagency) when you check in!
Food is good but a bit overpriced, though the house burger is a good fit! Don’t sit in table 113 if you want to see/hear band well, but most other seat areas are fine.
Try the Jalapeno Poppers. These trashy-wonderful bar menu poppers are stuffed with fontina cheese, wrapped in speck ham, and lolling in chipotle cream.
Don't sit on the upper level against the wall directly in front of the stage. Seems counter intuitive but upper level seats on the sides of the stage have better views of the stage.
