Excellent beer offerings (craft, special) in the area. Happy Hour offers two-for-one on most. Food is good, too.
Made-to-order tortillas are their thing. I do like blue-corn chips and queso, though I know it'll be the death of me.
Great selection of vendors. Grab Saturday breakfast of a Maggie's pizza and BrassRing coffee, both in Washington.
Long loved the bubble gum ice cream. Avoid the cookie dough unless you're a fan of oats.
Charcuterie is great, but I really love the hush puppies. A great and creative cocktail list.
Offers similar food to 126 and Hearth (shares kitchens with the other two). Comfortable and low key.
Best local burger, me thinks, with lots of options (try one with a fries egg or with chorizo just because). Good fries, too. Decent beer selection.
The Huevos Epsteinos, eggs over easy with polenta and a pork-and-green-chile sauce, is my favorite for breakfast. Coffee is decent but not amazing. Arrive before 8:30 a.m. on weekends to avoid a wait.
Littleman ice cream at the Milkbox (as well as boozy shakes). Can get oddly ruckus on a Saturday evening.
Great activities for kids (a scavenger hunt, hands-on art studio and other fun stuff) throughout the museum. A nice mix of modern, contemporary and historical artworks.
Rotating art exhibits (they have no permanent collection). Rooftop offers nice view of LoDo and other parts of Denver.
A decent kids' museum. The Activity area — where kids build real stuff with real tools — was a hit. Watch out, though, construction closes some exhibits.
Busy on the weekend, so great people watching. Walk your dog, go for a bike ride.
Good sight-lines. Colorado craft brews are available, and good, but run $7 a can (but if you're at a ballpark for cheap beer, you're nuts).
